Shawn's Poem

HAGAKURE ~ Hidden leaves

As Summer's Sun begins to fade, The leaves begin to fall
Colours changing in the trees, We hear the Autumn's call

Greens they turn to golden brown, With colours rich and bright
Waiting calmly for the breeze, To start their downward flight

One by one they go to Earth, Spinning parachutes of fire
Each one unique and pure, Reflecting man's desire

Landing softly one by one, The first under the other
Covering the loamy ground, Comfort from their Mother

Slowly the first to fall, Its memory reduced
Returns to its former state, By the Earth seduced

Joining with those gone before, Energy finds release Physical form dissipates, Finally at peace
