Bully OFF

KaiZenDo means 'The Way of Continuous Improvement' and the Urban Warriors section syllabus has been specifically targeted at 11 to 16 year olds, add to this the 'Bully OFF!' anti-bullying system and you empower pupils with the means to tackle bullying both inside and outside school.

This is a pilot scheme in the UK led by Professor Kris Tanaka, the founder of Goshin Jutsu in the UK (1982) and secondary school teacher. It is hoped that over the next few years it will become part of the curriculum of many secondary schools and academies in the UK and mirror the recent increasing successes of these strategies in American high schools.

The combined system helps pupils to focus and, where possible, avoid confrontations by verbal defence and physical posturing with evasion and deflection techniques to combat the physical bully. The system is a stepped approach and builds with achievement examinations on theory and practical applications.

The combined system is dedicated to forming friendship groups both inside and outside the dojo (training hall) and protecting individuals from all forms of bullying. It gives pupils the tools, skills and training to improve self esteem and reach towards self actualisation in a positive social environment.
